Great Example of a Tiny House

The Tiny House movement has grown in the last decade and is indicative of the current shift towards self sustainability due to our ever troubled economy.

People all over the nation (and many places abroad) are opting against or giving up their unnecessarily huge houses (and mortgage payments) to be able to live a debt free and sustainable lifestyle.

Now my take on it is a little different than what the people at the link below have done, but not by much. I like the idea of smaller, easily maintained domiciles, however I think the below 100 sq. ft. cabins on trailers would be too much of a stretch for me (although I wouldn't require much more.)

But have a look at what the Rowdy Kittens have done with their Tiny House, you will be amazed!

Click to View: The Energy Lie (Suppression of Technological Evolution)

A good site to read up on about how and why the powers that be are actively suppressing green technologies to keep us all enslaved to big oil, big electric, coal, and more. And on a similar note; you should learn all you can about the late great Nikola Tesla, he was the true father of Technology,  many of the devices you take granted today wouldn't be possible without Tesla. His likeness was even included in a popular movie not to long ago, it was a good flick too! Make sure you check out "The Prestige."

Natty Light Becomes the First Beer In Space

Maybe a little off topic but this video is just plain awesome! Come to think of it, it's not off topic at all, there are several videos on YouTube from people that have launched these "weather balloon vehicles" and documented it using on board cameras, just search for it you'll see. So Enjoy!

Eh, I'm not really a Natty Light fan although it is one of my "backup beers" in case I can't get any Sam Adams at my local store.

IMHO It's only worthwhile if you are buying a big ticket item that is offered at a big discount. I wouldn't stand in line for a buck or two off the usual stuff.

Historic Shed Cottage

The TinyHouseBlog is a great inspiration for those that want to build their tiny dream home today! Just consider how much a home costs even in this downed economy. Imagine simply buying a little plot of land in a rural area and starting your own Tiny House Project, maybe at first it will only be a vacation or weekend home, but you may find that it could be a new lifestyle waiting for you, and you would have done it for a lot less than the cost of a traditional home.

Ditch Big Brother and Disappear Forever

Alot of good info here on how to get it started. However, you would really REALLY need to be determined to stay off any radar of any sort which, these days, is almost impossible. I think there is a "happy medium" that you should try to reach in this endeavor. A good start would be determining your need for credit cards, social networks, and governmental services. I like the ideas here but find them impractical in our modern age.

My focus would be to get rid of my credit cards, minimize my usage of financial institutions, because truthfully, the tiny bit of interest you gain in most banks these days is not worth your time; better to just keep your cash in a very good safe - oh, and get some guns and firearm education to protect yourself!

NEVER use any actual information on any social network! No phone numbers, photos, addresses, etc. Even your friends list can link you to people you may not even consider your friend. I like the section that is titled "Lie, Lie and Lie Some More", it makes sense.

5 Places To Find Free Clothes Online So You Don’t Have To Go Naked

Find That Lost Manual Now!

Ok this is important and it's free. Keep these links handy for when you need to find that long lost manual for that old device, machine, or electronics that you still use. I have found manuals for most of the garden machines that I acquired for free through Craigslist so I could repair them. Good reference!

Mosaic Toilet Tank Pot

I love the idea of this re-purposing! Especially since I have an old toilet in my garbage pile waiting for the junker to come. So I'll post my results here when I get to it.

Easy Arcade Cabinet

I definitely want to do this! The cabinet is probably the hardest part since you simply put an old PC into the cabinet and hook it up to a TV or Monitor. The popularity of the multiple arcade emulator (MAME) let's you play all those game systems and arcade classics you grew up with!

Multi-Level Cat Tree

Wonderful! Since I have many felines roaming around my house, this is pretty much a necessity. Use these plans as a base and add or modify as needed. Does not look difficult at all and offers you the ability to change as you need it.

A Simple Solar Charging Station

This is an awesome and simple DIY Solar Charging Station that anyone can build! It's really great to have free power available to you to charge your devices. Could probably be modified to keep indoors or maybe a portable version so you can bring it to the beach or out in the wilderness with you.

Outdoor Pet Enclosure Made of PVC

If you have a cat or two, this could also be used for small to medium sized dogs I would think. This seems like an inexpensive way to give your pet some outdoor time without letting them get into too much trouble or wandering away.

How To Make Blooming Tire Planters

Ha! I've always wondered how people make those things! It would seem to me near impossible to turn a car tire inside out. I want to try this!

What condition they will be in is obviously based on the price. Click here for a Google Search to buy these. And of course try your local Craigslist for deals.
